In 2021, Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, chose us as the main agency to design and build the digital ecosystem for European Athletics. For this task, we created an integrated team formed by both brand strategy professionals and digital product development specialists. Together, we tackled the project from a 360-degree perspective in which technology and communication work together.
An audit of the existing technical architecture.

We created a technological transition program that allowed us to get from a structure based on a notably outdated framework to a completely renovated architecture in just 2 months. The new system is based on a headless CMS that allows European Athletics to execute according to its marketing and communication needs
Creation of a new design system.
We developed European Athletics’ visual identity, taking it to the next level.
We created a new digital graphics manual that allowed us to achieve consistency throughout all the digital assets we would create. This identity fits with the federation’s graphics manual, but at the same time it matches the requirements of different digital platforms.

Through different workshops and sessions, we identified European Athletic’s main challenges as a brand. Once defined, a complete team formed by UX/UI designers, a strategist, project managers, and full-stack developers started to work on agile to reach the development goals that were set on a monthly basis.

Integration and creation of new data sources
We were the first ones to integrate the website with World Athletics, the main global organization in athletics, to show historical data about competitions and athletes. Along with Atos, we created several interactive feeds that allow European Athletics to broadcast their events live, showing results and scores in real time.

After a year of work, European Athletics now features a robust, completely scalable digital platform capable of tackling the organization’s challenges. We currently keep working on new digital assets and improvements for European athletics fans.
